Medical Spa Tulsa Frequently Asked Questions
Bioidentical Hormones
What is Hormone Optimization?
We want our hormones to be at an optimal level which is not too low, but also not too high. Our licensed medical providers will measure labs and symptoms of each individual prior to and during hormone treatment to reach this optimal level.
What is the difference between bioidentical and synthetic hormones?
Bioidentical hormones are structurally identical to the hormones the human body naturally produces.
How are hormones treated?
Hormone pellets are the most common bioidentical forms of hormones used at Revitalize, with creams as another option if our patient is not a pellet candidate. Pellets are the size of a large grain of rice and are inserted subcutaneously every 3-4 months for women, and every 5-6 months for men.
Peptides
What is a peptide?
A peptide is a short chain of amino acids that sends signals to different parts of the body. Peptides are not chemical altering medications, they are just signal senders, to tell different parts of the body to function more optimally
What are peptides used for?
There are many different peptides for many different bodily functions including but not limited to bone and joint health, gut health, sexual health, cellular health, and anti-aging. A consultation with one of our licensed medical providers can guide you to the peptides that are best for your desired outcomes.
How are peptides taken?
Peptides are most often injected into subcutaneous space with a very small needle that many patients don’t even feel. Peptide molecules are so large, they can rarely be absorbed through the gut, so the body would not absorb the peptide if taken orally.
Toxins
What are neuromodulators (toxins)?
Neuromodulators like Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau, and Xeomin temporarily relax targeted muscles to reduce wrinkles and prevent new lines from forming.
How long do toxins last
Results typically last 3–4 months, depending on the area treated, dosage, and your metabolism.
When will I see results?
Some patients notice improvement within 3–5 days, with full results around 10–14 days.
Will I look frozen or unnatural?
Not when done properly. Our goal is natural refreshed results and not a frozen look.
Does it hurt?
Most patients describe it as a quick pinch. Treatments are fast and require no downtime.
Can toxins prevent wrinkles?
Yes. Many patients start preventatively to soften muscle movement before deep lines form.
Filler
What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers are injectable treatments used to restore volume, smooth wrinkles, and enhance facial contours. Most fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally found in the body.
What areas can be treated with fillers?
Common treatment areas include:
- Lips
- Cheeks
- Nasolabial folds (smile lines)
- Marionette lines
- Chin
- Jawline
- Under-eye
How long do fillers last?
Results typically last between 6–24 months, depending on the area treated, the type of filler used, and your metabolism.
Are fillers painful?
Filler contains lidocaine to minimize discomfort. A topical numbing cream is also applied before treatment.
How long does a filler appointment take?
All appointments are booked 60-90 minutes, depending on the treatment area and how many syringes are used.
Is there downtime after filler?
There is minimal downtime. You may experience mild swelling, redness, or bruising for a few days.
When will I see results?
Results are visible immediately, with final results appearing once swelling subsides (usually around the 2 week mark).
How much do fillers cost?
Pricing varies depending on the treatment area and the amount of filler needed. A personalized quote is provided during your consultation.
What is the difference between Filler and Botox?
Filler adds volume and contour to areas of the face, while Botox relaxes muscles to reduce dynamic wrinkles.
