Botox:
Contraindications
- Pregnancy / Breastfeeding
- Dermatoses in the treatment area (ex. Eczema, psoriasis.)
- Gross motor weakness in the treatment area
- Immunocompromised
- Infection in the treatment area
- Keloid scarring
- Neuromuscular disorder
- Sensitivities or allergies to the product
Pre-Treatment instructions
- Stop anti-inflammatories, aspirin and herbal supplements 5 days before to reduce the risk of bruising
Post-Treatment instructions
- Swelling will go down in approx. 10-15 minutes
- Avoid aggressive impact activity for 24 hours
- Do not rub or scrub the area night of treatment
- May apply ice and anti-inflammatories for soreness
- May apply arnica for bruising
- Botox will take 7-10 days to take effect
- Botox will last 90 days on average
- No touch ups will be performed for minimum of 14 days
